Football Phobia ~ How Do I Escape???

I learned a little while ago, that much to my dismay, the Vikings game WILL be televised tomorrow. I was really hoping for a blackout, although if that would have happened, I'd probably be subjected to listening to the stupid thing on the radio, which would be even worse. Can you tell that I HATE FOOTBALL?

I was not born with the "sports gene" I guess. I do not EVER think about whether or not "we" will win . First of all, "we" are not even playing the game, how can "we" win? I don't care. It doesn't affect my life one way or another. I've tried to like it, but I cannot make myself. Sports do not exist in my world.

So, now I'm trying to figure out where I can go, or what I can do to avoid the whole football game thing tomorrow. If I had any extra money, I'd go shopping...but I don't. Besides that, we're supposed to get a bunch of snow tonight, so the roads will not be fun to drive on. Another problem is, that when I've tried shopping in the past, to avoid the Stupid Bowl for instance, I've walked into Wal*mart and they've had the game playing over the store's speakers. They said it was for the customers' benefit. Yeah, right. If any of the customers cared about the game, they would be HOME watching it and filling their faces with pretzels and beer. No one was holding a gun to their heads making them shop. I'm pretty sure it was for the employees that HAD to be there. But then I also recall a time when I was working at a grocery store, and HAD to be there, that they were broadcasting some play-off game there over the speakers. I felt like a prisoner being subjected to listening to sports while I worked. I remember telling the manager that those were unfair working conditions and threatening to walk out.

I suppose I could go to a movie, but again...I'd probably have to brave dangerous road conditions. Oh well, anybody else got any great ideas for me? As I sit and write this, I'm starting to realize that I have more than a hate for football...I'm thinking it's a football phobia!

I have a GREAT idea, but if the roads are bad, it won't work well.
